On August 22, 2020, the New York State Police and the town of Pound Ridge Police Department investigated a fatal motor vehicle crash on High Ridge Road in the town of Pound Ridge.
At approximately 1:00 p.m. a 2014 Ford Econoline van, operated by Lorenzo Davis, age 33, of Bronx, NY, was traveling south on High Ridge Road, and for unknown reasons struck a bicyclist also traveling south on High Ridge Road.
The bicycle operator, Thomas J. Schultz, aged 70 years, of New Canaan, CT, unfortunately, was pronounced deceased by a Pound Ridge Emergency Medical Technician after life saving techniques were unsuccessful.
Pound Ridge Fire Department, the Westchester County Medical Examiner’s Office and the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office all assisted with this incident.
This investigation remains ongoing.
