New Canaan Police report that over the past several days we have experienced three stolen motor vehicles from Carter Street and Canoe Hill Road.
Police say, "The concerning pattern in all three of these thefts was they occurred between 5pm-8pm. This is a different pattern from the thefts we have seen over the past several years that occur during the overnight hours."
At this time we are asking all residents no matter the time of day to secure vehicles in their driveway and not leave keys inside the car.
A video New Canaan Police posted on Facebook shows a suspect running up a driveway in a populated neighborhood during the early evening in a possible attempt to steal the vehicle.
If you see something suspicious take a picture or video and contact New Canaan Police immediately.
