New Canaan Police Lieutenant Gannon retires after more than 30 years of dedicated service!

Lieutenant Gannon served our Department for over 30 years. Throughout his career, he has filled the roles of Patrol Sergeant, Youth Officer, Training Officer, and Investigator. Most recently he was the Shift Commander of the 11-7 Shift.
 
In addition, he served as the Town Coordinator for the CT Special Olympics Law Enforcement Torch Run, and was responsible for implementing the Department’s Bicycle Patrol Unit.
 
Lieutenant Gannon was one of the two founding members of the Department’s Special Response Team. He has earned The Chief’s Award of Excellence for Physical Fitness, the Commissioners’ Physical Fitness Award and the Perkin’s Award for Marksmanship.
