Our Town Seal

The seal was approved in 1968 and represents all of the wonderful offerings and rich history of the town. A sailboat signifies the bodies of water in the town which include, Candlewood Lake, Ball Pond, Squantz Pond and Margerie Reservoir. Each serves as a gathering place for fun with family and friends and are some of the most beautiful and serene locations in New Fairfield. The anvil is a reminder of the blacksmiths and metal workers who built New Fairfield, and the Indian head pays homage to the earliest settlers of the land we now call home.
