The New Fairfield Lions Club hosts the largest 4th of July parade in this area of the state of CT.  Averaging over 35 marching units (many of whom hail from New Fairfield), and numerous area Fire trucks, this is New Fairfield’s greatest patriotic event of the year.  Thousands of people line the streets to cheer the marchers as they pass.  A reviewing stand is set up in front of the Town Hall and marchers continue to Memorial Field where they disband after invocations and speeches by town officials and the awarding of trophies to the: Best theme, Best float, Best marching unit, Largest group, Lion President's Award.

Parade Route

Starts north of center of town on Route 37 and travels south to center of town turning right onto Route 39 and ending at Memorial Field (behind library).
