Chris Herren's riveting presentation will have a powerful impact on a new wave of students who were only in elementary school last time he was here. Chris will be presenting to students in the afternoon and to the community in the evening.

In 2012, Connecticut ranked last in the nation for opioid deaths, but by 2015, we ranked 12th. Opioid-related deaths in the state have grown at 4 times the rate of the national average. Death rates from prescription opioid overdoses and other illicit drugs are higher in suburbs and rural areas than in the urban areas in Connecticut. This is a local problem, and we ask you to be part of our local solution.
