Direct Service Volunteer Training

The Women's Center of Greater Danbury is currently accepting applications for the Winter Direct Service Training class.

Each year Direct Service volunteers provide over 20,000 hours of client support. Upon course completion and supported by ongoing training, our direct service volunteers serve as crisis-hotline counselors, in-house staff support, support group facilitators, as well as court and shelter advocates, as needed.

Applications may be found using the link https://www.wcogd.org/images/stories/Volunteer/2016Application.pdf.  Qualified candidates are 18 years of age or older.  Bi-lingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

The Women's Center is a non-profit organization with a vision to end the violence against women, men and children, and to foster equality and empowerment for all. We serve the needs of individuals and families in the Northern Fairfield and Southern Litchfield Counties by providing prevention education, crisis intervention, and support services with regard to domestic violence, sexual assault, and other major life transitions. Our free and confidential services are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. We're here to talk about it.
