Connecticut Food Bank to Distribute Food for 15,000 Meals TOMORROW in Wallingford from 2PM to 4PM

Food insecurity in Connecticut has increased significantly during the Coronavirus pandemic. Research from Feeding America projects that food insecurity in New Haven County will rise this year by nearly 40%. Child food insecurity is expected to increase by 50%, from nearly 28,500 children to 43,000 children – one in four – in New Haven County.

The recent distributions in New London were coordinated in cooperation with Mayor Michael Passero and the City of New London.

Connecticut Food Bank provides food to people in need in Fairfield, Litchfield, Middlesex, New Haven, New London,
and Windham counties through a network of partners and programs that offer a combined 500 food access points.
Connecticut Food Bank last year distributed food to provide nearly 23.9 million meals.

Drive-through food distribution at Connecticut Food Bank in Wallingford on Wednesday that will provide food to people in need equivalent to approximately 15,000 meals.
