The Premise of the Murder Mystery Party

The rustle of silks and feathers under muted conversation was probably the last thing heard by the tragically and
unexpectedly deceased at the Billionaires’ Club Annual Masquerade Ball. With a mystery under each feathery façade, unmasking the killer may be quite a challenge. It’s up to you to determine which partygoer is guilty, bring this crime to justice, and save the party!

Attend the Billionaires’ Club Annual Masquerade Ball and help get this soiree back on track by trading clues with your fellow guests, gathering information, and solving the crime before the masked menace gets away! Evening wear, ball gowns, Venetian masks, suits, and tuxes are what to wear to this high-class night of masks and murder.Get ready for a glamorous evening of mystery, intrigue, and murder at this masquerade ball murder mystery party!

What is a Zoom Murder Mystery Party

A Zoom murder mystery party is a night of intrigue, mystery, murder and fun, all without leaving your house. Murder Mystery Co.'s professional actors host the entire show, guiding you through the game, allowing you to relax and have fun solving the murder with your friends.

What to Expect at the Zoom Murder Mystery Event?

Before the game starts, you will get access to more information about your character - who they are, where they came from, what their relationship to the murder victim is, etc. You will get some basic instruction as to what your goals are - mainly, to investigate the murder and the other guests or suspects. The entire party will view an intro video together and you will be free to ask your host any questions you want. Once the party begins, there are breakout rooms within the Zoom call where guests can hold conversations and investigate clues to the murder. The host, one of Murder Mystery Co.'s actors, will provide new clues and background information when appropriate.

The mystery unfolds over the course of three acts - think of it as a play starring you and your friends and family, figuring it out as you go along.

Is it Really Family Friendly?

It’s appropriate for kids around 10 to 11 or older, primarily based on reading comprehension and not the content of the story. There is no swearing or inappropriate behavior, sex, drugs, etc. built into our mysteries. We like to say we’re “clean for teens.”

Do You Have to Dress Up?

Short answer: no. You do not have have to dress up as your character or within any theme to enjoy our murder mystery parties. But the longer answer is that it does enhance the experience for everyone involved if you and the other guests roleplay and dress the part as well. Murder Mystery Co. provides suggestions for outfits or costumes for each character in the game.

How Can My Household Participate?

Each party group includes 8-12 characters, one for each RSVP'd participant URL. A household may participate a one suspect character through a singular screen or device and Zoom session. If multiple people in your household would like to play as their own character, RSVP for each individual. For example, if both spouses want to be their
own character, RSVP for 2 participant URLs. Zoom works on desktops, tablets, and smartphones, so there are many ways to join the Zoom party.

Next Step?

Once you've RSVP'ed with a suggested donation that helps Emmanuel House provide for our Family of Families, you will receive your Zoom party link prior to the event.
