September 17th marks the final day of Emily Simoness’ tenure as Executive Director of SPACE on Ryder Farm.

While it’s an emotional moment for each of us, we are enormously grateful to Emily for her vision, passion and compassionate leadership. Since her co-founding of SPACE in 2011, Emily has worked tirelessly to create an environment where artistic creativity can incubate and flourish in a uniquely supportive environment. A true change maker, Emily embraced organic farming and broadened SPACE’s mission to include providing free farm fresh food to local food insecure families and to integrate farming into the fabric of SPACE and its residency.

As her parting gift to SPACE, Emily has launched the Founder’s Fund to provide SPACE’s new leadership with the financial stability it will need to allow SPACE to continue to evolve and to thrive in our second decade. To date we’ve raised over $265,000 of our goal of $500,000.

Please join the larger SPACE community in celebration of Emily’s outstanding work by giving to the Founder’s Fund. Your contribution today will help us to reach our $500,000 goal even more quickly thanks to a challenge grant from two generous SPACE supporters who have agreed to match, dollar-for-dollar up to a total of $50,000, what we raise between now and September 17th. Thanks to this challenge grant, your support now will enable us to turn $50,000 into $100,000.

Thank you for your on-going commitment to SPACE on Ryder Farm.
