Global Culture to be Celebrated at World Heritage Cultural Center’s Gala

A black tie gala supporting global culture entitled “The Summer Ball” will take place in June at the Salem Golf Course in North Salem, New York. Sponsored by World Heritage Cultural Center (WHCC), the fundraiser will support the WHCC’s Project BUILD in Brewster New York.

Following a cocktail ‘meet & greet’ reception, there will be a seated dinner, both live and silent auctions, as well as community awards and multicultural entertainment. Hosts for the evening will be Asha Dahya, founder of GirlTalkHQ, and the American actor Victor Cruz. Additional performers are coming from Spain, India, Latin America, Botswana, and the Caribbean.

The multi-talented Alyssa Raghu (YouTube), an American singer/songwriter of Indian and Mexican decent, is one such performer. From Orlando, Florida, this musician placed in the Top 24 of this season’s “American Idol.” “I believe music is a way to express emotions and change the world,” 16-year-old Alyssa says. She is chair of the newly formed Global Citizen Committee at WHCC.

WHCC Global Ambassador Terry Gajraj will also perform. In 1990 he released his debut Album “Soca Lambada” and his “Guyana Baboo” released in 1994 propelled him to International acclaim. Dominating the Guyanese music scene for over 25 years, Terry’s successful promotion of Guyanese culture around the world remains unmatched.

WHCC Founder Sattie Persaud will speak about where the organization has been and is going. “We will share our exciting future plans, and there will be great food and great entertainment – I guarantee this will be something no one has experienced before. We take the lead when it comes to bringing cultures together and our events are so unique.”

To be broadcast globally by AWESOME TV, the event will be held Saturday, June 23 from 6:30-10:30 pm at the Salem Golf Club, 18 Bloomer Road, North Salem, N.Y. 10560. Tickets are $125 per person or $1,000 for a table of ten. Call 845-282-3479, email info@mywhcc.org, or see website www.mywhcc.org.
