JCC in Sherman Takes Part in World Wide Make Music Event

On Thursday, June 21st, the JCC in Sherman is taking part in the world wide Make Music Event. Make Music is a free celebration of music around the world on June 21st. Launched in 1982 in France as the Fête de la Musique, it is now held on the same day in more than 800 cities in 120 countries. Make Music is Completely different from a typical music festival, it is open to anyone who wants to take part. Every kind of musician — young and old, amateur and professional, of every musical persuasion — pours onto streets, parks, plazas, and porches to share their music with friends, neighbors, and strangers.

The JCC in Sherman has two great performers lined up for Thursday, June 21. Sixteen year old pianist and a trumpet player, Trevor Hampson will perform from 1:30PM-2:15PM and Lumos, the duo of Susanna Marker and Al Burgasser will play from 3:30PM - 4:30PM. This event is free and open to everyone in the public. Please email or call us if you plan on attending at 860-355-8050 or info@jccinsherman.org. Join us for an afternoon of live music from great local musicians! Be sure to check out all the great venues and musicians that are playing all across CT that day.
