Holiday Open House & Community Tree Lighting

Holiday Open House: Usher in the Season with a Roar and a Ho-ho-ho

Please join the Sherman Historical Society for our annual Holiday Open House on Sunday, December 2nd, from 1 to 4 pm. Directly following it this year will be our first Sherman Community Tree Lighting!

This year’s Open House theme: the Roaring ’20s. It was an era of great change for the US and the world with many advancements and new inventions, new movements and strides. (Think baseball, jazz, the radio, and more!) As always Northrop House will be filled with fascinating and festive holiday décor both meaningful to the historic period and beautifully appointed.

Think you can Charleston? Dancer Ginny Zellner will be on hand to demonstrate. It’s a must-see fun learning experience!
Come for the good cheer and the warm hearth fire of our Open House, but dress warmly to join us at 4:30pm in front of the Society Barn for our first annual Sherman Community Tree Lighting. We’ll have caroling and hot cocoa and a special appearance by Santa! All free of charge (Don't forget to bring your camera.)

Don’t forget, the Old Store Museum and Gift Shop will be open that afternoon as well, beautifully decorated and featuring an array of wonderful merchandise for all your gift-giving needs.
