Registration for the 2019 Annual Candlewood Lake Clean Up is Open!
Every year, the Candlewood Lake Authority has the pleasure of hosting the annual Candlewood Lake Cleanup. This fun-filled event gives all of us the opportunity to work together to keep Candlewood Lake Clean and beautiful for the boating season ahead. This year, the Clean Up is scheduled for Saturday May 18th, 2019.
That morning, volunteers will load into boats at each of the town parks around Candlewood Lake and will be taken to different areas of the lake to help pick up any litter that might have accumulated on the Lake's shores since the last clean-up. Following the clean up, everything that was picked up is delivered to a dumpster in New Fairfield Town Park, where we will also host a celebratory cook-out lunch for volunteers featuring food from local restaurants and vendors!
If you have a boat, we would love if you would consider being on of our volunteer boat captains who are the most important piece of making sure the event is successful by taking our clean up volunteers where they need to go! There is a field on the registration page to volunteer to be a boat captain.
Not only is it a great day out on Candlewood Lake, you're also giving back to the community by keeping the lake we love clean! Gloves and bags are provided for volunteers -- Plus a free commemorative T-shirt!
