Doug Kuring, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ at Danbury-based Reby Advisors, has announced a series of educational seminars in response to the expected passage of the bi-partisan SECURE Act, a bill that includes many changes impacting how people plan for retirement. The seminar is titled Replacing Your Paycheck with Sustainable Retirement Income and will be held on multiple dates in July and August of 2019.
Full details on this 60-minute educational seminar are available at: www.RSVPforRetirement.com
The SECURE Act – which is designed to make it simpler for businesses to offer retirement plan options that will now include annuities, among other changes – passed the House of Representatives by a large margin and is expected to clear the Senate before the end of the year.
Kuring explains, “The SECURE Act changes several aspects of retirement planning. The ages at which people can contribute to and must withdraw from IRA and 401(k) accounts has changed. Investment options within employer 401(k) plans will likely change. And it also impacts estate planning and education planning. The upcoming seminars will cover the new law and help people understand how to transition from their careers to retirement.”
