"Once On This Island" is a captivating story about the power of love centered around a peasant girl, Ti Moune, and her connection with a rich city boy. This island re-telling of the same fairytale that The Little Mermaid is based on, opens on a Caribbean island where villagers tell the story of the orphan Ti Moune, destined to love too much for the human heart to bear. “Once On This Island” is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI). All authorized performance materials are also supplied by MTI.
“We are excited to present this musical on a professional stage and our students are thrilled to bring their talent and performances to the public,” said Kathleen Czel, Producer and English teacher. “Planning for the Spring Musical takes place during the summer months and the cast has been rehearsing since January.
