New Fairfield Day Fun Celebrates 275 Years!

New Fairfield is bedecked with scarecrows and the weather forecast for Saturday is picture-perfect. Residents, business owners and town officials are gearing up for the 3rd Annual New Fairfield Day - this Saturday, September 19. The festive, fun, and family-oriented event will celebrate the town's 275th anniversary. 

Festivities kick off at 11:00 AM and run until 2:00 PM.

Don’t miss entertaining activities at the following locations:

At the Senior Center:

  • Art and Quilt Show in the Great Room 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
  • Amber Alert – hosted by Community Service Club in the Community Room
  • A sampling of Senior activities including Zumba at 11:30 AM, Line Dancing at 12 PM, and Tai Chi at 1:30 PM
  • Preserve NF will open the historic homes and help us celebrate our 275th anniversary by sharing our town’s history.

At Memorial Field:

  • Farmers Market 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
  • Split Decision to perform 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
  • Public Works Touch-a-Truck

At Veterans Green:

  • Veterans’ Display
  • Candlewood Amateur Ham Radio Club
  • Emergency Response Vehicle

At the Creamery House:

  • Obstacle course hosted by the Girl Scouts
  • Gaga Pit and Monkey Bridge hosted by the Cub Scouts

At the Stop and Shop Parking Lot:

  • NFVFD – Fire Prevention Day
  • Lions Club will be providing free hot dogs and water
  • FEMA storm preparedness
  • NF Animal Hospital
  • At Home Vet
