Charming, Hilarious, and Fun are just three of the words to describe Musical Theatre Kids production of High School Musical Jr. The production was filled with talent and charisma, and the passion and joy from the students performing was infectious. Musical Theatre Kids students are hardworking and all came together for a great production.
The show opened up with a full ensemble number, introducing the main characters, and explaining past events that led up to where the show begins. Here we meet Gabriella Montez and Troy Bolton, as well as the other characters, Sharpay and her brother Ryan, and the Wild Cats basketball team.
Guilianna LeClair and Isabella Folchetti soared as Troy Bolton and Gabriella Montez. Lola Molina and Isabella LeClair truly did bop to the top as the theatrical Sharpay and Ryan Evans. Autumn Tackas shined as the hilarious and over the top theatre teacher Ms. Darbus.
The show also incorporated the beloved songs from the original film that fans all know and love, including, Start of Something New, Get’cha Head in the Game, What I’ve been Looking For, Stick to the Status Quo, We’re all in This Together, Bop to the Top and Breaking Free.
Musical Theatre Kids put on a wonderful production complete with sets, costumes and talented actors. All students should be commended for their hard work and great performance.
