Ridgefield Symphony Orchestra announces FREE community concerts in August

FREE concerts in Ridgefield during the month of August

Music at the Museum, Charles Ives Music Festival String Quartet on Monday, August 1 beginning at 6:30pm (in the Garden House at KTM&HC)

Presented by Ridgefield Symphony Orchestra and Keeler Tavern Museum & History Center, the concert, titled “Pulse”, explores uses of folk music in concert music and folk-influenced, rhythm-oriented works throughout the last century of American concert music.  Quartet members include professional musicians from the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, touring chamber ensembles, and Broadway!

Free concert for the community at The Ridgefield Playhouse on August 7, Charles Ives Music Festival featuring musicians and students from WCYO

Presented by The Ridgefield Playhouse & People's United bank and featuring musicians from the MET Opera Orchestra, Dallas and Baltimore Symphony Orchestras, Broadway and touring chamber ensembles. 

The concert, "Simple Gifts",  explores American composers who represent the richness of the diversity of styles within concert music.

The concert is to be held outdoors under a tent at The Ridgefield Playhouse.  In the event of rain or heat, the concert will be moved indoors to The Ridgefield Playhouse stage.
