WCSU’s Institute for Holistic Health Studies offers ‘Navigating the New Normal’ workshop on Nov. 2

Western Connecticut State University’s Institute for Holistic Health Studies invites the public to attend a program that will help participants deal with the “new normal” we are experiencing after the worst of the Covid-19 pandemic. The workshop is at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 2, in White Hall Room 127 on the university’s Midtown campus, 181 White Street, Danbury.

Christel Autuori, the Institute’s director, a certified holistic stress management instructor who is also a board certified health and wellness and lifestyle medicine coach, will share practical ways for participant to navigate the “new normal” using inner resources developed in dealing with the pandemic. She will share tips and tools to create and maintain resilience using grace, patience and humor.

General admission is $20 per person, $10 for WCSU faculty, staff and alumni; and free for WCSU students. Proceeds benefit WCSU’s Institute for Holistic Health Studies. Tickets can be purchased at wcsutickets.regfox.com/navigating-the-new-normal.

The Institute for Holistic Health Studies (IHHS) is housed within WCSU’s Department of Health Promotion and Exercise Sciences (HPX). The mission of the IHHS is to provide the university and Greater Danbury area with an opportunity to engage in and explore different aspects of holistic and integrative health through programming and instruction. Its holistic perspective on health and healing integrates conventional healing with traditional and modern alternative practices from around the world.
