Services for Hit and Run Victim Daniel Crawford Jr of Brewster

Daniel Crawford, Jr. of Brewster, NY, died in a tragic hit and run on Saturday April 7, 2018. He was 32 years old.


Born on January 11, 1986 in Danbury, CT, son of Daniel and Susan (Weizenecker) Crawford, Sr. of Brewster, NY. He graduated from Brewster High School and continued his education receiving an associated degree. 


Danny could often be found in the local reservoirs fishing with his friends, it was a great passion and hobby of his. He was a people person and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. 


Danny is not only survived by his parents, Daniel and Susan, but also his siblings; Kimberly Crawford of Pawling, NY, Timothy Crawford of Brewster, NY and Kelly Crawford of Brooklyn, NY,his nephew Brayden Bauer and his grandmother Dorothy Weizenecker.


A graveside service will be held on Wednesday April 11, 2018 at St. Lawrence O’ Toole Cemetery, Brewster, NY at 10am. Interment will immediately follow the service. Family and friends may call the Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Avenue, Brewster, NY on Tuesday from 2pm-5pm.

According to LoHud, Danny's father, Daniel Crawford Sr., stated his family is offering $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest and conviction in the case. Danny's body was found on the westbound side of I-84 near Exit 2 in the right lane next to a Jeep Grand Cherokee that was stopped on the right shoulder. Police determined that he was struck by a passing vehicle that fled the scene.
