Gil Parris Announces Summer Tour Schedule

Exciting summer ahead for Grammy-nominated guitarist with multiple albums, concerts and a 2nd Signature Guitar Release!Gary Peterson, Executive Director, Bijou Theatre is pleased to announce that Gil Parris and his band will perform at the theatre on Sat. July 14, 2018 at 8pm. Composer, pianist, producer and singer-songwriter Matt King will be joining them on stage. Along with Matt, Jessie Lambiase is the featured female vocalist for the "Picks the Hits" show, which highlights the music of Hendrix, Santana, Beck, The Blues and Beyond!

Instrumentalist Parris, known for his special blend of Blues, Jazz, Rock & Smooth Jazz has recorded and toured both as a solo artist and sideman with major artists such as; Dr. John, Blood, Sweat & Tears, Diane Schuur, David Mann, Billy Vera, Bobby Caldwell and Toni Braxton to name a few. Parris has 3 electrifying recording projects in development for 2018; a studio album with Lambiase, a live album with Grammy nominee, Bernie Williams and a live DVD featuring his "Picks the Hits" show. In recognition of an 18-year relationship with Reverend Guitar, the Ohio-based company is introducing a 2nd Parris Signature Series guitar this summer.

Matt King is a pianist, organist, vocalist, composer, arranger and producer. His latest release, "Monk In Brazil", features the iconic compositions of jazz legend, Thelonious Monk arranged by King in various Brazilian genres. Lead vocalist, Jessie Lambiasehas performed with Parris over the past 5 years, and was one of the singers in his "Guitar Hits" project that took Iridium, NYC by storm earlier this year.
