HELENA: Female, (20-30) Ward of the Countess of Rousillion who heals the King in return for a husband of her choosing. Funny, romantic, courageous.

KING OF FRANCE: Male, (40-70+) Passionate to a point of hilarity. Need a high-energy actor, a mountain of authority who will tear-up at the sight of a rainbow. Think John Lithgow, Will Ferrell, James Avery.

BERTRAM: Male, (20-30) Cautious, sensitive, stubborn. Romantic.

LAFEU: Male, (40-70+) A French lord and trusted friend of the Countess. Impatient, sassy.

PAROLES: Male, (20-40) Bertram’s friend/advisor. Cocky, a man of bravado. Really into himself. A dynamic character who receives his “just desserts” and subsequently returns with a more humble outlook.

DIANA: Female, (16-30) Fiery, rough around the edges, wide-eyed. Funny. Think Rebel Wilson, Jennifer Lawrence, or Kelly from The Office.

SOLDIERS/LORDS: Any Gender, (16-30) Comical, trustworthy. Supportive to Bertram when they concoct a plan to expose Paroles as a liar. These actors may double as other characters, so we are looking for talented people with a passion for Shakespeare.
