Award-Winning College Admissions Counselor Brings Free Workshop to Norwalk

Believe it or not, many students with lower grade point averages are actually more appealing to selective colleges than 4.0 students, according to Francesca Morrissey, award-winning counselor and founder of Access Success LLC, a New Milford-based admissions counseling firm with a brand new Norwalk location. On October 20, Morrissey will offer a free workshop entitled “College Admissions Playbook: What to Expect and When Not to Worry” at her new location, The Lofts at Wall St, 64 Wall St., Suite 403 (4th floor) in Norwalk. Intended primarily for students in grades 8-11 and/or their parents, the program is free and open to the public. Limited seating is available, so all interested students and parents must email info@accessuccess.com or call 203-788-5971 to reserve their spot.

“We are so excited to make ourselves more accessible to those in the Greater Norwalk area and look forward to working with more students from Darien, Greenwich, New Canaan, Norwalk, Ridgefield, Stamford, Wilton, Westport, and Weston,” said Access Success’s Morrissey. “Our upcoming interactive workshop will be fun for the whole family.”

Last week, Access Success LLC received the 2019 Best of New Milford Awards in the Educational Consultant category. The firm was also voted 2019 Best College Counselor in TownVibe/Litchfield Magazine Readers Choice Awards.

26% of students seeking admission into highly selective colleges and universities work with a private admissions counselor, according to the National Association for College Admission Counseling’s 2018 annual State of College Admission report. In 2018 alone, Access Success LLC worked with over 125 high school students representing more than 20 parochial, private, and public high schools in Connecticut, as well as with homeschooled students. This included 85 seniors who were accepted into more than 130 colleges. Each year, Access Success also offers a $1,000 scholarship to one graduating senior who has worked with the firm at least once.
