The Elephant Man Opens on August 13th at the Town Players of Newtown

The Elephant Man is an award-winning play, which is based on the real-life experiences of John Merrick, who lived from 1862-1890. His rare disease imprisoned him in a cruelly deformed body.

This play honors Merrick’s courage with which he faced his existence. Written by Bernard Pomerance and directed by Terry Polvay. Producers are Michele Leigh are Ella Jurgielewicz with Roberto Perez as stage manager.

MEET THE CAST: Chris Cooney (Dr. Frederick Treves), Tony Benedetti (Gomm), Tom Torpey (Ross), Chris Luongo (John Merrick), Ruby White (Nurse Sandwich), Joe Niola (Bishop), Rachel Ames (Mrs. Kendall) and Michael Wright (Lord John)

SHOW DATES:
 August 13, 14, 15, 20, 21, 22, 26, 27, 28. Friday and Saturday performances are $25. Thursday evening and Sunday matinees are $20. Curtain is at 8:pm for Thursday, Friday and Saturday performances and 2:pm for Sunday matinees.
