Great Hollow Announces Important Event and Trail Status Updates

A message from Great Hollow Nature Preserve & Ecological Research Center

A significant number of trees at Great Hollow came down in last week's storm, but thankfully no buildings were damaged and nobody was hurt. As we continue to clean up and recover from the storm, please note that we have to postpone some of our recently scheduled events. The juried Painting and Photography Show that was originally scheduled for May 18-20 will be held June 15-17, beginning with the Artist Reception at 6:30pm on Friday, June 15. Our World Turtle Day event that was scheduled for this Saturday, May 25th has been postponed indefinitely. We will soon announce a new date for this event. Please check our website and Facebook page for the most up-to-date information. Kids' Nature Night on Saturday, June 2nd will be held as scheduled. Please also note that our trails are blocked by fallen trees in many places and hiking is not advised at this time. We are hoping to have all trails cleared by the end of this week. Thank you for your understanding.
