Upcoming Programs at New Fairfield Library

Adult Programs

  • Friday Night Crafting Club, 6-8 pm. Bring your project to the Library and take some time for yourself with fellow crafters. This informal group meets in the Library’s lower level and requires no registration.
  • Summer Evening Music, Friday, June 29, 6:30-7:30 pm, Community Room. Relax with the Candlewood Brass Quintet as they perform a varied selection of music.

 

Programs for Children

  • Wee Ones, Mondays, 10:30-11 am, Program Room. Stories, music and movement with Ms. Janet for children ages 12-23 months. Registration is required. 
  • Tales for Twos, Tuesdays, 10:30-11 am, Program Room. Stories, music and crafts with Ms. Janet for children ages 24-35 months. Registration is required.
  • More Stories Please, Weds., 10:30 am, Program Room. Stories and a craft with Ms. JoAnn for children ages three to five. Registration is required for each month.
  • Drop-In Storytime/Stay and Play, Thursdays, 10:30-11am, Program Room. Stories, music and movement for all ages with Ms. JoAnn every Thursday unless school is closed or delayed. No registration is required for this program.
  • Drop-in Saturday Craft, 11 am to 4 pm, Children’s Library. Children of all ages are welcome to come between the hours of 11 am to 4 pm to do a craft at their leisure. No registration is required.
  • First Saturday Storytime, June 2, 11-11:30 am, Program Room. Join Ms. Hannan for some stories and fun! This program is open to all ages. Registration opened May 19. 
  • Libraries Rock is the theme for the 2018 Summer Reading Program. Due to recent changes in the school district’s calendar, our Summer Reading Program has been shifted a week to begin Monday, July 2nd and end on Friday, August 10th. Our first program to kick off the season will be Animal Embassy, on Monday, July 2nd, 2-3 pm. This educational and entertaining program will take families around the world with a unique group of rescued and adopted animals. Registration opens June 18.
