High School Volunteers Needed
Our Summer Reading Program will run from July 2nd to August 10th. In order to make this a successful program so that our town’s children do not suffer from the summer slide, we need high school volunteers to operate the Summer Reading Desk for our Birth through Fifth Grade Program. Graduating eighth graders going into high school are eligible to volunteer as well. There is no reading involved to the children on the part of the volunteers. The high school students will receive Community Service Time and must commit to serving a minimum of six hours. More hours are always available as the volunteers select their own time slots.
