A Guided Tour Through Connecticut Audubon Society's Deer Pond Farm

Join Sharon Danosky and Deer Pond Farm director, Cathy Hagadorn, on a guided hike through pristine hardwood forest, meadows, and wetlands straddling the state border of Connecticut and New York.

HIKE DETAILS
Looking for a fun, informative and healthy thing to do this fall? Don't miss this family-friendly hike where you may see some of the 100 species of birds have been reported on the property, including forest birds such as Broad-winged Hawk and Scarlet Tanager, marsh birds such as Virginia Rail, and others such as American Woodcock, Eastern Towhee, and Chestnut-sided Warbler. Deer Pond Farm is also home to a variety of butterfly species, bobcat, beaver and even black bear.

Dress for the weather and bring sunscreen, bug spray and drinking water.

MEETING TIME AND PLACE:
10 am at Deer Pond Farm, 57 Wakeman Hill Road, Sherman, CT
