Storytime with Ms. JoAnn every Thursday in April unless school is delayed or closed. Stories, music and movement for all ages. No storytime 4/11.

FIRE and ICE – 1:00 - 2:00 p.m.

Children will be captivated by this spectacular science show! Be amazed when our “special paper” disappears in a flash! Learn how to help our Mad Science friend “Eggbert” home. See dry ice make metal scream. Volunteers will demonstrate what happens when there is too much carbon dioxide trapped in our bodies! We will clean up our act when a few volunteers are called up to take a dry ice shower...complete with soap and bubbles. All children participate in our last cool experiment as thhey exit through a cloud!

HOOKED ON LLAMAS - 10:30 - 11:00 a.m.

An entertaining as well as educating program designed specifically for children ages 3 & up. Debbie Labbe, owner of Country Quilt Llama Farm will let the children pet the llama, then they can settle down and sit in front of the llama as she reads the story “Is Your Mama a Llama?” For the older children Debbie reads “Llama” by Mary R. Dunn, which is filled with many informative facts. She has large photos to explain the many uses of llamas along with llama fiber products for the children to see and touch. At the end of the program there will be time for questions and answers and another chance to pet the llama!

FRIDAY NIGHT CRAFTING CLUB - 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.

Bring your project to the library and take some time for yourself to work on your knitting, crocheting, quilting, scrapbooking or whatever interests you. Did you see something on Pinterest that you’d like to make? This is the perfect opportunity to bring your supplies and get to work.

NEEDLE FELTING - 6:00 - 7:15 p.m.

Learn the popular fiber arts craft of needle felting with Katie Stevenson. This program is funded by the Robert G. And Marguerite M. Derx Foundation.

ESCAPE ROOM - 1:00 - 3:00 p.m.

Using codes, ciphers, and experiments team members havr to figure out and complete activities to advance in the game. All solutions lead to a central set of puzzles/activities that the full team works on together to complete the game.

UKULELE WORKSHOP - 2:00 p.m.

Want to try an instrument that is easy and fun to play? Join Julie Stepanek as she shows you some of the fundamentals of ukulele playing. You’ll learn how to tune, strum, and read chords. After a short lesson, you’ll be able to play some fun and easy songs. Bring your own ukulele or borrow one of hers. For ages 14 & up. This program is funded by the Robert G. and Marguerite M. Derx Foundation.
