Area residents came out to Memorial Field on Saturday September 7th to celebrate New Fairfield. On hand were area businesses along with the New Fairfield Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and other civic organizations. The NF Board of Education was on hand with plans and drawings for their expansion and renovations that taxpayers will vote on this October. There was plenty of food along with a beer garden and entertainment n the gazebo from local bands and DJ’s. The Friends of the New Fairfield Library was recruiting new members and donations to help the library.
Nick’s Nature show had variety or reptiles and birds to keep the youngsters engaged and several children’s rides were available for the youngsters as well. Numerous artisans were on hand to ply their wares from hand crafted household items to painters along with he civid organizations.
The fair was sponsored by the New Fairfield Recreation Department.
