Former New Fairfield First Selectman Announces Run for Connecticut Secretary of State

Former New Fairfield First Selectman, Susan Chapman announced yesterday that she is running for the position of Connecticut Secretary of State.

Not resting on her laurels, Chapman, a two-term incumbent who lost her seat as First Selectman to Democrat Pat Del Monaco in November, soon after began exploring a run for statewide office. During the course of the three months, Chapman has held fundraisers, made public appearances and launched Chapman for Connecticut to encourage donations.

Yesterday, it was official. Chapman posted on her Chapman for Secretary of State Facebook Page, “Today, I filed my paperwork to run as a candidate for #Connecticut Secretary of the State. It is time to Restore Connecticut’s Promise.”
