Troopers Arrest New Fairfield Man following Pursuit

Connecticut State Police pursued a vehicle after the operator failed to stop. CSP personnel successfully deployed stop sticks on the accused vehicle. The pursuit came to an end on Brinsmade Lane in the town of Sherman Connecticut. The accused resisted arrest and CSP personnel deployed the Tazer to gain compliance. Located within the vehicle were multiple firearms, numerous narcotics, and paraphernalia.

The accused the operator of the vehicle ,Edward Lasch (DOB 02/05/1986) revealed an active PRAWN arrest warrant issued on 6/27/2018 out of GA 18 located at 50 Field Street in Torrington. The accused failed to appear on the charges of  Larceny in the third degree, Criminal Mischief in the first degree and 5Criminal Troyer in the second degree.

Lasch was processed and charged with Criminal Possession of a firearm by a felon, Possession of a loaded rifle in a vehicle, four counts of Weapons in a motor vehicle, Carrying a firearm under the influence, Assault on Public Safety, Possession of drugs, Reckless Endangerment, Possession of marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession Of Narcotics With Intent to Sell, Engaging Police In A Pursuit, Illegal Operation Of A Motor Vehicle While Under Suspension, Reckless Driving, Misuse of Plates,  Criminal Mischief, and Speeding. Lasch was transported to GA 3 Danbury Superior Court located at 146 White Street in Danbury on 7/13/2018 to be arraigned on said charges.
