LT. Governor Susan Bysiewicz, Col. Stavros Mellekas, DESPP Deputy Commissioner Regina Rush-Kittle, Connecticut Senator Dennis Bradley and members of the State Police Selections & Recruitment Unit held a press conference yesterday May 22nd, at the CT State Police Academy in Meridan regarding The State Police Department's intensive recruiting campaign geared towards women in policing.

In a department with more than 900 Troopers, there are fewer than 100 women. The State Police hopes to move Connecticut forward by increasing their diversity and women’s participation. You’ll hear it time and time again, “This is not a job… It’s a calling.” We are hoping that you’ll take a moment and answer the call because the possibilities for advancement within the Connecticut State Police are endless.

Applications are being accepted until Friday, May 31st but why wait until last minute? If you are interested in a career in law enforcement take a few minutes and go to www.jobapscloud.com/CT and apply today.
