Police find no evidence of shots fired at Danbury High School

Danbury Police Chief Patrick Ridenhour reports that at approximately 7:55 am this morning Danbury’s emergency dispatch received a call of shots fired at Danbury High School. Patrol units immediately responded to the school in addition to the officers that were already on the campus.

"There were no injuries and at this time we have found no evidence of shots fired on the campus or in the surrounding area," Ridenhour says.

Out of an abundance of caution, the school temporarily went into shelter in place which, Ridenhour says, has since been lifted.

The incident is still under investigation.
