Jonathan fought for 28 days in the hospital and 20 days on a ventilator, he was so close to recovery when his body just couldn’t fight anymore.

Jonathan was the most amazing husband to his wife, best friend, and soulmate Katie for 10 years. He loved the life they had built together, but his most cherished accomplishments were his two children Braedyn (age 2) and Penelope (age 10 months). His son Braedyn was born with several medical complexities including cerebral palsy, Jonathan and Katie took such pride in providing Braedyn with therapies 5 times a week and were dedicated to giving him the best services possible. Penelope was a complete Daddy’s girl, although she is young her world revolved around her dad, and Jonathan savored every moment he had with her.

Jonathan Coelho wanted his family to know how much they meant to him in case he didn't make it out of the hospital.
Katie discovered a heartbreaking note left behind after his phone was returned to her.

“Katie you are the most beautiful caring nurturing person I’ve ever met.....you are truly one of a kind.....make sure you live life with happiness and that same passion that made me fall in love with you. Seeing you be the best mom to the kids is the greatest thing I’ve ever experienced,” he wrote.

Coelho concluded the note with messages for Katie to give to each of the kids.

“Let Braedy know he’s my best bud and I’m proud to be his father and for all the amazing things he’s done and continues to do,” he wrote. “Let Penelope know she’s a princess and can have whatever she wants in life. I’m so lucky....”

Dawn's Pizzazz is asking for your help in support of this fund in his name. Haircuts are $50 and 100% of the proceeds will be donated to The Jonathan Coelho Fund. The fund will help provide aid to families with medically complex children. This will help provide financial assistance with medications, procedures, camps, equipment, or therapies. In addition, the Jonathan Coelho Fund will obtain medical equipment that is no longer needed from families, to redistribute to another family in need.
