Book Signing with Deborah Dayal and Rose Petruzzi

During its celebration of Independent Bookstore Day, The Hickory Stick Bookshop will host a book signing with local author Deborah Dayal and local illustrator Rose Petruzzi, who will be signing copies of their new book Dancing Inside (CreateSpace, $15) on Saturday, April 28th at 1pm. Refreshments will be provided by Douglas Williams.

Dancing Inside, “an inward journey, taken together, expressed in verse and poetry,” is a book of poetry written by Deborah P. Dayal and illustrated by Rose Petruzzi. The book follows Deborah as she navigates through painful (both physical and emotional) transitions in her life and her journey toward finding a pain-free life through yoga.

Deborah P. Dayal is a mother, yogi, teacher, and writer. She enjoys singing, music, nature, gardening, retreats, family, friends and community. Deborah is the co-author of Be Yoga, a K-8 yoga curriculum for schools. She is also the author of Dreaming in Color, a CD of yoga stories for children. Deborah lives in the beautiful Northwestern Hills of Connecticut with her family, two joyful dogs and one personable cat.

Rose Petruzzi is KRI certified as a Kundalini Yoga Level One Teacher, Radiant Child Yoga Teacher, SuperHealth: The Yogic Science to Break Habits & Addictive Behavior Teacher, and Gong Master certified by Don Conreaux. She graduated from Mount Holyoke College with a B.A in Fine Arts and psychology, and Pratt Institute with a masters degree in the Psychology of Creativity (aka. Art Therapy).Her work includes being an artist, illustrator, visual designer (websites and usability), teacher, art therapist, and children's book author/illustrator.
