Preservation Hall Jazz Band celebrates 60 years of New Orleans music at The Ridgefield Playhouse on September 3

The legendary Preservation Hall Jazz Band is celebrating 60 years of New Orleans music on Friday, September 3 at The Ridgefield Playhouse beginning at 7:30 pm. Purchase tickets here.

Led by Ben Jaffe on bass and tuba, the band is living, breathing New Orleans history. While standards and traditional New Orleans jazz repertoire remain its core focus, it has transformed into a vibrantly cross-pollinated ambassador for the city, exploring original compositions and Afro-Cuban rhythms, while collaborating with artists beyond the jazz spectrum.

From sharing festival stages with greats including Stevie Wonder, Elvis Costello, the Grateful Dead, My Morning Jacket, Arcade Fire, and the Black Keys to a guest appearance on the Foo Fighters’ eighth studio album Sonic Highway – PHJB is redefining New Orleans music.

There will be a special silent auction to help raise money for the Kitty Rosa Preservation Fund.

Visit GALLO for dinner before the show and enjoy a complimentary glass of house wine with your entrée when you present your tickets!

EventVIP Party Pass available! Includes priority parking and free house wine and beer from 6:00 – 6:30pm! Available for $50 by calling box office 203.438.5795!
