RVNAhealth event on May 17 focuses on neuropathy: Whats on Your Nerves?"

What’s on Your Nerves?

Have pain or numbness in your hands or feet? Experiencing difficulty walking due to pain or pressure? Feeling sharpness or burning in arms or legs? These may be early signs of neuropathy, damage or dysfunction to your nerves. While this condition cannot currently be cured, it can certainly be treated with a few lifestyle changes and medical treatment.

RVNAhealth is hosting an event called, “What’s on Your Nerves?” to provide information about neuropathy and how to decrease symptoms while benefiting your overall health! This event will be hosted by Brittny Howell, MD, co-founder & CEO of Modern Vascular, PLLC as well as RVNAhealth’s Physical Therapist, Kate Campbell, PT, DPT and Registered Dietitian, Monica Marcello, MS, RD.

The event will kick off with an overview of what neuropathy is and why it is important to be aware of the signs and symptoms of it. There will then be a discussion about how neuropathy symptoms can be improved through food and nutrition followed by an energetic demonstration about physical therapy and vascular health that is sure to get your heart pumping!

This event is free to the public and anyone can benefit from it especially those with diabetes, those undergoing chemotherapy, those exposed to asbestos or other toxins, or those with an idiopathic (spontaneous) disease. There will also be an opportunity to chat with all three experts in a Q&A panel towards the end of the event.

This event will be held on May 17th from 9-10:30am, at RVNAhealth, 27 Governor St., Ridgefield.

Reservations are not necessary but are strongly encouraged. For more information, or to sign up for the event, please call 203.438.5555.
