According to the National Weather Service, A strong area of low pressure will track through the Great Lakes and into southeast Canada Sunday, February 24 and Monday, February 25. A warm front will approach tonight bringing the potential for wintry precipitation across the interior, followed by strong winds across the entire Tri-State Area Sunday night and Monday.

Tonight, interior southern Connecticut towns can expect freezing rain changing to plain rain Sunday morning, with up to a tenth of an inch of ice accretion. This may result in slippery conditions on untreated surfaces.
Strong Winds on Sunday
Strong to potentially damaging winds are predicted for the entire Tri-State area late Sunday through Monday. Wind gusts of 40-55mph with a low chance for 60 mph. Winds of this magnitude could down tree limbs, trees and powerlines and/or cause structural damage.
