Literacy Volunteers on the Green in New Milford provides English literacy instruction at no cost to adults in 14 towns in northern Fairfield and Litchfield counties. In January of 2020, LVG will celebrate 15 years of literacy education, supporting the goals of adult learners as they work towards attaining fluency in English, improving their basic academic skills and preparing for job readiness, all resulting in increased self confidence and self sufficiency.
LVG is in need of tutors - prior teaching experience or knowledge of a language other than English is not needed. Volunteer tutors will be trained to work with adult students. Plant the seed of education and impact the lives of adult learners!!
