Brian Ohler Named One of Litchfield County's Leaders Under 40

State Representative Brian Ohler (R-64) has been named as one of Litchfield County Leaders Under 40. The Northwest Connecticut Chamber of Commerce’s Young Professionals Organization (YPO) fielded nominations for young leaders that contribute to the businesses and communities of Litchfield County from which they chose the winners.

Rep. Ohler said, “It’s an immense honor to be selected as an inaugural awardee. Public service and volunteerism have always been my passion. As a firefighter, EMT, soldier, and now a state representative, I’m just so thankful to be in a position that both supports and defends our local communities, our state, and our beloved country. It’s an even greater honor to know that I’m sharing this award with such an amazing group of dedicated and talented young leaders.”

YPO’s mission is to engage and attract working professionals in their twenties and thirties to grow within the communities of the Northwest Corner, which is facilitated through networking, community involvement and professional development. JoAnn Ryan, President and CEO of the NW CT Chamber of Commerce, praised Rep. Ohler’s selection, saying, “You were selected by a panel of local leaders who used the following criteria: career or educational achievement, commitment to excellence in your industry, leadership within your organization, involvement in your community, leadership in community organizations and potential impact to the community’s future. You are truly making a difference and touching many lives.”

The Chamber's YPO will honor the Litchfield County Leaders Under 40 with a special publication and an awards dinner on July 26th. #
