New Milford Resident Matthew Reeves Excels on National Latin Exam

The American Classical League, a professional organization for classicists, sponsors annually the National Latin Exam, a standardized Latin test for high school students.

This year, 19 Wooster Middle School students took the 2018 National Latin Exam, joining more than 150,000 students from around the world. Seven Wooster School students received honors on the National Latin Exam.

The philosophy of the National Latin Exam is predicated on providing every Latin student the opportunity to experience a sense of personal accomplishment and success in his study of the Latin language and culture. This opportunity exists for each individual student since, on the National Latin Exam, he is not competing with his fellow student on a comparative basis, but is evaluated solely on his own performance on the exam.
