“Notable Night & Silent Auction” Marching Band and Fundraiser Event to benefit DHS Team

The Danbury High School Marching Band presents its annual Notable Night and silent auction. Come for the chance to bid on unique and personalized items in the auction, and stay for the four-course meal, lively music, and friendly atmosphere. Meals will be from your choice of Chicken Francese, Stuffed Portobello Mushroom, or Penne Alla vodka. The marching band students will be performing a selection of musical pieces live during the dinner. The event will take place on May 12th, from 5:30 to 9:30 at the St. Nicholas Byzantine Church, located on 13 Pembroke Road, Danbury CT. Tickets are only $25.00, and can be purchased by visiting  notablenight@gmail.com.The silent auction will include many bidding items such as memberships to sports and fitness facilities (EarthFIT Personal Trainers, Middlebury Racquet Club, Connecticut Martial Arts, The Edge Fitness, YMCA), museum passes (Yale Peabody, CT Science Center, Wadsworth Athenaeum), tickets to Quassy Park and the Danbury Ice Arena, gift certificates to several local restaurants, craft and personal care items, and full tuition to a Herzog Thayer Driver’s Ed training course, valued at just under $600. The proceeds from tickets and auction items will directly benefit the marching band, which competes locally and regionally, placing second in our class in New England in 2017. “Our program is supported mainly from fundraisers such as this, funding everything from uniforms to instruments to performance opportunities.” Says Karen. “We are in dire need of some upgrades. Instruments such as the tuba with the duct-taped patch on the bell need to be replaced or repaired. We need new uniforms that fit all band members to replace our frayed and torn uniforms. Any contribution will help makes these kids’ dreams a reality. For any additional questions, please email Danbury High Marching Band, notablenight@gmail.com
