RVNAhealth Treasures and Continues New Milford's Nurse-Family Partnership

A Partnership of Love and Support

One of the treasures of the recent RVNAhealth merger is the Nurse-Family Partnership program. A national initiative that was introduced in New Milford in 2019, this special program supports first-time mothers (with limited means) and their babies from pregnancy through age 2.

Our team of maternal and child health nurses utilizes the evidence-based Nurse-Family Partnership (NFP) nursing model which pairs mothers with their own personal nurse from pregnancy through their child’s second birthday.

RVNAhealth Nurse-Family Partnership is a voluntary, free program for eligible mothers* residing in Western Connecticut.

When combined with traditional medical care, mothers participating in the program are more likely to have healthy pregnancies with fewer preterm and low birth weight newborns, are more likely to be successful at breastfeeding, and have infants and toddlers who are healthy and meet developmental milestones.

If you are an expectant mother and need guidance and support, we’re here to help. Click here to refer or register.
