Creativity Connects New Milford: Meet Sylvia Castro, Massage Therapist, Community Lover

Creativity Connects New Milford

What fuels a vibrant, connected, and creative community? What makes people feel good about living in Brookfield?

When locals share the creativity that they uncover in the nooks and crannies of their community it brings about connectivity and makes us all feel good. Believe it or not, you discover creativity every day as you walk, shop, work, and play in New Milford.

Creativity connects us.

Meet Sylvia Castro Licensed, Massage Therapist.

What about New Milford makes you feel good?

As a massage therapist, I truly enjoy helping local residents feel their best with massages designed specifically for their individual needs. I feel so fortunate that our office is situated in a perfect place on the Green in New Milford! I have a view of New Milford’s Bandstand and the local shops! It’s truly a homey atmosphere. My clients enjoy the Green before and or after their sessions. They find it therapeutic to go for a stroll after their massages and before they go back into their cars and on with their day.

I also love it when summer visitors from New York stop into my office and ask me for local recommendations. Our local businesses all support each other and this has never been more important.

Where do you go for inspiration and creativity?

New Milford’s historic downtown is full of beauty and inspiration. A “welcome” message from New Milford Mayor Pete Bass New Milford on the town website states, “Creativity and innovation are two of the hallmarks of New Milford making it an ideal place for your business startup or expansion.”

I like to take walks up and down the Green and on Bank Street when I have longer breaks between my massage therapy sessions.  In warmer weather, I like to meet friends for lunch on the grass on the Green. There are some amazing eateries in New Milford that offer takeout and great spots for outdoor meals and picnics!
