*With your donation, you are celebrating our models who are all at different phases of their cancer journey. You are saying you want to be sure no one has to face their terrible illness alone. Thank you for helping us all to celebrate every day and every moment of life.

Here on HamletHub, we are excited to introduce our readers to these courageous and local models

Meet Pat Ueckerman, a longtime Ann’s Place volunteer and client

I looked back at the story I had written for the 2020 Fashion Show and we all know how so much has changed. I think we all had to survive something these past two years. Yes, the story of my journey is still the same. I am head and neck cancer survivor. My daily diet is still 90% chocolate. As I think back at the journey I have taken, I have a different perspective of what I went through to get where I am today. I still have struggles to face every day, side effects from my surgeries, chemo and radiation. But it is another day. This journey however was not taken alone. The wonderful people that have been by my side these past six years I love you all. To my daughter Samantha, you are my champion. Supporting me through everything and making sure I was always well taken care of while you were going through nursing school. These past two years as a front-line ER nurse you have shown us what it is to have strength, to care and never give up. You also have given me my most precious gift. My beautiful granddaughter Mila. Without the commitment and dedication of the medical community, my recovery would not have been the same. I have such a deep appreciation and respect for these remarkable people. That is why I would like to dedicate my walk on the runway to all the front-line workers that have given so much of themselves these past two years and are still giving. To Ann’s Place, you hold such a special place in my heart. The friendships I have made mean everything to me. I am forever grateful for the support you give me, and so honored to be part of such a wonderful community.
