New Milford Police Charge Waterbury Man with Sale of Narcotics and Reckless Endangerment

Chief Cerruto credits New Milford Detectives for the arrest of a suspected heroin dealer in connection with the overdose death of James G. Broderick IV which occurred October 15, 2018.

Detectives worked with the DEA and the Waterbury Police Department to secure an arrest warrant for Yusef Rawls of Waterbury. Rawls was arrested on 09-04-19 in Waterbury and brought to the New Milford PD for processing on the New Milford Warrant. He was charged with Sale of Narcotics and Reckless Endangerment 1st. A $100,000 bond was set.

I want to thank the Waterbury Police for their help in arresting this dangerous suspect and I want to commend our Detective Division for their diligent work and tenacity in conducting this extensive investigation. Det. Flockhart, the lead investigator, along with Det. Guilbeault, supervised by Detective Sergeant Relyea are all very experienced investigators and they will not stop until all leads are exhausted.
