St. Rose of Lima School, located at 40 Church Hill Road in Newtown, Connecticut, will hold a Preschool and Kindergarten Open House for parents and prospective students on Thursday, March 26th from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Faculty, administrative staff, current parents, and admissions representatives will be available to conduct guided tours and provide information about the Kindergarten and Prechool programs.
St. Rose of Lima Preschool opened its doors in 2000 and since 1989, St. Rose of Lima School has offered a full-day Kindergarten. We are a Catholic, faith-based program where children pray and grow in their relationship with God. St. Rose offers an intellectually challenging curriculum in a faith-based environment designed to foster the virtues of individual integrity and service to others. The Preschool program’s primary focus is Kindergarten readiness, which prepares our student for a seamless transition into a full-day Kindergarten setting. Both programs offer an integrated curriculum, which includes fine arts, music, language arts, mathematics, physical education, religion, science, and world languages. iPad technology is integrated across the curriculum. St. Rose of Lima School and Preschool meet nationally recognized criteria set forth by the National Catholic Education Association (NCEA) and the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC).
