Have you ever visited the EverWonder Children's Museum in Newtown?
The museum was founded in 2011 by local mothers who wanted a hands on science and learning experience for their children closer to home and for other families in the surrounding areas. In 2013 they were able to open the EverWonder Experience in a physical space, changing it's name to the now EverWonder Children's Experience. Popularity has grown, and this past April, they moved again and have now expanded into a new 6,500 square foot location.
The EverWonder Children's Museum, now located at 31 Peck's Lane in Newtown, will be celebrating their expansion with a Grand Opening Celebration on Saturday, June 6th. The EverWonder Children's Museum offers many hands on learning and S.T.E.M. based exhibits for children of all ages up to 12 years old. They also cater to schools and other groups with mobile field trips and birthday parties. There is no cafe or food provided at the Museum, but an open snack area is available for you and your children to eat a snack or lunch from home. The EverWonder Children's Museum is closed on Mondays. Museum hours for the week are Tuesday - Saturday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
